We're continuing to monitor the fallout from the collapse of Flybe

A number of Islanders have been in touch with various issues, from how to get a refund to rebooking with another airline, which shows that there is still some confusion out there. There has also been some frustration shown with the charges being levied for the re-booking of flights.

Until the dust fully settles and the appointed administrators make their next move, the Council will continue to keep Islanders up to date and offer any advice or guidance for those failing to get satisfactory answers from elsewhere.

We're also carefully watching the situation with Blue Islands, and how the airline responds to the situation.

In the meantime, if you would like more advice on how to get your money back if you have a Flybe ticket that can't be transferred, please click here for the latest.

We have also been alerted to the advice contained on the ‘Money Expert’ site which includes reference to the ‘Charge back protection scheme’ that some may find of interest: www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2020/03/flybe-administration-help
