Islanders are being encouraged to post early, as Jersey Post prepares for it’s busiest time of the year. From late November, as Islanders send Christmas cards and presents, Jersey Post will see a 30% increase in mail.
To help consumers be organised, Jersey Post have published a list of recommended last posting dates:

A handy guide to festive posting was recently sent to every household in Jersey, featuring last posting dates, opening hours at Broad Street and Rue des Pres post offices, and parcel collection details. A digital version can also be downloaded here.
Although there won’t be any reduced-price Christmas stamps again this year, Jersey Post say that post office counter employees will be spreading festive cheer by surprising some lucky customers with’ Random Acts of Kindness’ in the form of free parcel postage.
Jersey Post’s Chief Operating Officer, Julie Thomas, said: “We’re ready for another busy Christmas, delivering more parcels and helping more customers.
“From the end of November, we see a 30% increase in parcels and letters, with up 65,000 items delivered daily by our posties!”
At Jersey Post’s three sorting offices, extra team members have been brought on board to help sort and deliver mail, to accommodate the increased volume of mail. Meanwhile, post offices at Broad Street and Rue des Pres will extend their opening hours.
Posties will also be delivering letters to Santa in the North Pole again this year. Children can post their letter and Christmas list in any post box around the Island free of charge (or in one of the special boxes at Broad Street and Rue des Pres Post Offices, the Town Library, or St Saviour Parish Hall), by 12 December. Remember to include your name and address so Santa can reply!
