Why more islanders are using Prices.je to find the best value

With the cost of living continuing to be a concern for many households, finding ways to make your money go further has never been more important – so we’ve been delighted to see a huge growth in users on our Prices.je site.

Our price comparison site, Prices.je, attracted around 12,400 users during the whole of 2025. However, by the end of August this year that number had already more than doubled, up to around 25,750 users.

Prices.je is a free and easy-to-use and is designed to help Islanders compare prices across a wide range of everyday products and services.

We compare almost 100 grocery products across all six of the Island’s major supermarket chains, highlighting the price differences between stores. By making price information readily available, Prices.je empowers consumers to make smarter shopping choices.

Many consumers say that Prices.je helps them save money by making it easier to shop smarter. Instead of completing their entire shop at one supermarket, they use the website to compare grocery prices and find the best deals. By checking the latest price information, they can see where their staple grocery items are cheapest and they can then buy them when they’re passing that shop.

Likewise, when buying fuel and heating oil, consumers have told us they find it easy to compare prices before they fill up.

With fuel prices back on the rise again, Prices.je allows motorists to compare the price at all forecourts across the Island to see the best price near them before they set out to fill their vehicle up.

We update grocery prices every two weeks and fuel and heating oil prices weekly, and we also carry out seasonal comparisons for occasions such as Christmas and Easter.

It pays to shop around. Simply visit Prices.je
