Old phone scam doing the rounds

Take care when receiving calls about bank or card transactions.

Be aware of any calls you receive, where the caller tells you there have been transactions on either your bank account or credit card and you need to press an option on your phone to speak to someone about it.

DO NOT press the option, just hang up.

Never give out personal details or bank details to anyone over the phone or online. Your bank will NEVER ask you for this. It is a #SCAM

If you have been a victim of fraud, you should report it to the States of Jersey Police by calling 612612.

  • Now is the time to make sure you're secure online

The recent national cyber attacks on Marks and Spencer and the Coop have resulted in empty shelves in some of Jersey’s supermarkets in recent weeks. However, while the lack of food has caused issues for Islanders, in the UK customers have been told that the attackers gained access to their personal data, including contact details, date of birth, and online order history.
