  • School Council Network – 12 June 2025

    We visited Highlands College to run a workshop with over 100 students, exploring just how much money could be saved on everyday groceries simply by shopping around.
    Our Chairman Carl Walker presented to members of the School Council Network — a forum made up of elected student council members from schools across the Island.

  • ConnectMe Event – 29 March 2025

    Our Officer Oonagh Butler and Chairman Carl Walker were joined by our Youth Reps Martha and Georgia to run a stand at the Government's ConnectMe event at St Clement’s School.
    The event used to be known as Closer To Home but has been rebranded and moved to weekends to give it more of a family-friendly focus.
    Many people visited our stand to pick up a shopping bag, or find out more about Prices.je and our other work. We also had an interactive game asking consumers to guess which shop was cheapest for specific items from our Basket of Essentials.

  • Jersey Flower Club – 4 February 2025

    Our Chairman Carl Walker presented to the Jersey Flower Club at St Brelade's Bay Hotel about 'The Importance of Shopping Around'.
    Sue Russell, the Club's Programme Secretary, said: "It was a most enlightening talk, which was enjoyed by all.
    "I’m sure we will all be far more aware of what is in our shopping baskets in the future. It’s such a brilliant and worthwhile job you are doing at the Council."

  • Communicare Library – 13 November 2024

    Our Executive Officer Anthony Dearie spent the morning at the Communicare Library in St Brelade, meeting consumers and speaking to them about their consumer issues and showing them our prices.je price comparison site.
    The importance of budget planning for Christmas was a hot topic for many of the Islanders who visited our pop-up stand.

  • Town Library – 7 November 2024

    A big thank you to the Jersey Library for hosting us at their Town Library.
    Our Officer Oonagh Butler and Council Member Pat Le Masurier had a stand in the entrance to the St Helier Library.
    They spoke to lots of library users about some interesting issues, and shared advice with consumers.

  • Jersey Customer Experience Alliance Conference – 10 October 2024

    We had a stand at the Jersey Customer Experience Alliance conference at the Town Hall, to educate delegates about our work.
    As well as learning some interesting insights at the conference, which was organised by the Jersey Customer Experience Alliance, our Executive Officer Anthony Dearie and Officer Oonagh Butler had a stand where we handed out our shopping bags to delegates and helped them sign up to Prices.je

  • Jersey Fraud Prevention – 19 September 2024

    We were delighted to host the latest Jersey Fraud Prevention Forum meeting at our office.
    We welcomed representatives of the Jersey Financial Services Commission, Jersey Financial Intelligence Unit, Jersey Bankers’ Association, Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner, JT, Sure, Airtel-Vodafone, Jersey Post, Citizens Advice. States of Jersey Police, Trading Standards, Digital Jersey, Cert.je, Jersey Water, and local banks.

  • Women's Institute Talks - February and September 2024

    Our Chairman Carl Walker delivered talks about 'The Importance of Shopping Around' to members of both the St Ouen’s Women’s Institute, on 13 February, and St Martin’s WI, on 9 September 2024.
    Members found the talks enlightening, and appreciated both the advice, and the shopping bags, notepads and pens that they were given.

  • Closer To Home – 28 March 2024

    Our Executive Officer Anthony Dearie and Officer Oonagh Butler ran a stand at the Government's Closer to Home event in St Clement’s Parish Hall.
    The event was organised by the Government and brought together a variety of organisations.
    We spoke to many members of the public about their consumer issues, handed out marketing materials, and received a variety of consumer enquiries.
